Our first adventure abroad, since COVID threw a monkey wrench into all travel. July 20-27 Deb and Gregg circled Iceland.

Our first stop was the Seltún Geothermal Area "mud pits"

Across the street we got to meet our first Icelandic Horses.

Everywhere you go, every 10 minutes of our drive, the scenery changes!

Waterfalls Stole The Show

The combination of high mountains, large mountain glaciers, and a North Atlantic climate with thaw/freeze cycles and abundant precipitation has created a plethora of Icelandic waterfalls. There are over 100, a few of which consists of rows of waterfalls!

You can even walk behind a waterfall !

As glaciers melt at Jokulsarton Lagoon, they produce icebergs that float to the sea.

Relaxing in geothermal warmed water at Vok Baths - a ritual.

Seafood....so GOOD!

Did we mention the Sheep?

A few more nuggets....
